Sculpture Sorry I did not get the name of the sculpture or artist, but this sculpture took me off guard as I was walking around downtown. This sculpture is found in downtown Kansas City Missouri on the north side of 12th street, between Broadway and Central. (west of the Marriott Hotel) There's a video wall next to the sculpture, but nothing was playing on it at this time. [ go to Youtube.com ]

KETC | Living St. Louis | Zoo Sculpture
From KETC, LIVING ST. LOUIS Producer Jim Kirchherr is there for the installation of the Animals Always sculpture at the St. Louis Zoo. This gigantic steel sculpture is the largest at any zoo in the world—measuring 130 ft. long and 36 ft. high. Thelma Zalk donated the million dollar masterpiece created exclusively for the zoo by artist Albert Paley. The sculpture was cut from 1,300 steel plates and shows 60 different animals in their natural environment. [

Kinetic Sculpture
This was a found object sculpture created for my Art 215 class. The only criteria was that we were each assigned one object that we had to incorporate into the sculpture. My assigned object was a spatula, which made a perfect arm for standing the dominoes back up.
The rest of the sculpture is made from other easy to find objects which include a bike rim, five gallon bucket, toy gears, and some PVC and aluminum pipe. [

Flying An Octopus
Balloon artist Larry Moss and professional pilot John Ninomiya teamed up to create the world's First Piloted Latex Balloon Sculpture, the Fantastic Flying Octopus. A team of balloon artists worked for a week inflating and assembled 18,000 ballons for the Octopus sculpture. The sculpture, piloted by Ninomiya, took off from Sodus Point, NY, and floated above Sodus Bay. This 4 minute summary video was created using highlights from the 60 miniute "Flying an Octopus" documentary. [

Ralfonso-Kinetic Sculpture - Opera
OPERA is a motor-driven kinetic aluminum/steel sculpture, which rotates slowly around its vertical axis, as the lights in the solid lucite center slowly change color,- and water drops fall gently from the top of its inner center.

Time Lapse Sculpture Made Of Flint Bricks
This is a time lapse of a sculpture made by Mark Gates. It is
called 'Flint' and is mostly made of paving brick from around the early
1900s'. The brick company that produced the bricks was called 'Flint more...
Brick Manufacturing Company’, and each brick had 'FLINT CO’
embossed on its front side; thus the name of the sculpture.
The piece took from 06-08-06 thru 09-18-06 to complete and more can be

Worlds Tallest Indoor Sand Sculpture
The Sand Sculpture Company and the Sand Boxers recently finished this 32 foot 8 and 5/8 inches sculpture in Tacoma at the Tacoma Home and Garden Show. The previous record was 31' 6".
