Shipping out, seeing the world, entering combat. Mr. Todd was only fifteen days past his eighteenth birthday when he enlisted in the 10th Mountain Division. He carried an early 35mm camera, an Argus C3, through two years of training in the Colorado Rockies and into battle in Northern Italy in the closing months of World War II. The color and black and white photographs document one boy's growth into a Mountain Man. Mr. Todd narrated his story to his grandson in 2006. [ go to Youtube.com ]
