the term "scanimation" was coined to describe these short animated scans. each is a collage of light manipulation, "2D" paper cut-outs, 3D objects, and time manipulation.
these works are time consuming.

the exhibition in Norwich 16 - 21 april 2007
Joint exhibition by emerging UK artist Kirsti Mitchell and Dutch artist Jos Richie.
Mitchell exhibits large-scale canvases and a collection of abstract Cibachrome prints. Her bright, textured paintings abstract forms from nature, mainly from flower-heads and shells.
Richie's paintings focus on the natural and built environment. His art captures a 'snapshot' of the light and environment in cityscapes and seascapes as recorded from his travels. [
